Decluttering and Home Organising Support
This service focuses on providing support to adults who struggle with hoarding and self-neglect in order to help them organize and maintain habitable home environments.
We continually assess risks and work in partnership with the client and relevant professionals to reduce risks and encourage positive risk-taking. This allows us to manage risks while still empowering the service users to independently organize their homes.
The support is provided through a series of sessions, which are determined in collaboration with the service user, their representative, and care professionals. Our support extends beyond addressing hoarding issues and also includes practical tasks such as engaging in social activities, organizing mail and bills, scheduling appointments, arranging repairs, offering advocacy, helping with benefits, and assisting with applications to charitable organizations for aid. Our interventions also aim to support health and social care professionals in their responsibilities for care management and safeguarding.
